Grace Eileen Anderson, Age: 93

Aug 26, 1932 - Feb 15, 2026

Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Grace Eileen Anderson, 93, of Grain Valley, MO passed away surrounded by loved ones on February 15th, 2026.  Her faith shown through in her final moments.  One of her pastors had just visited and read Revelations 21:4 to her.  We played her favorite worship song “Come”.  As the last note played, she passed into the loving arms of her Father in Heaven.

Eileen was born on August 26th, 1932, to Guy and Gertrude Shuck in Greensburg, KS. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Blake, sister Wanda, brothers Raymond and Edward.  She is survived by her brother Dale and his wife Connie.

Mom was the heart of our family.  She devoted her life to her 4 children, Blake (Mary), Robin Swilling (Roger), Julie Bannister (Bill) and Rex (Diane).  Her greatest joy was spending time with her 14 grandchildren: Tyler Anderson, Kyle Anderson, Aaron Anderson, Ryan Swilling, Alissa Hagan and Sarah Julton, Joshua Machutta, Lindsey Hadley and Angelina Davis, Taylor Anderson, Brady Anderson, Mackenzie Anderson, Blake Anderson and Reagan Anderson and 24 great grandchildren.  She attended every possible sporting event and school program she could and loved every minute of it.  She supported her family through the many passions and difficulties of their lives.

At 93 she lived life to the fullest, choosing to live independently and enjoyed her close circle of friends attending church services, shopping and for their weekly “mexican train dominos” marathon.  Every holiday gathering was filled with laughter and love.  She was especially proud and honored to participate in the lighting of the candles at her Christmas church service alongside these friends.

With each spring she looked forward to filling her flowerpots with her favorite color purple.  She tended them with great care just as she tended to her family all her life.  Whenever we see the color purple, we will be reminded of her.

Family will hold a private Celebration of Life event in late spring.

We will miss her greatly.
