Terry Alan Simmons, MD, of Parkville, Missouri, passed away on March 3, with his devoted wife, Stacy, by his side. He was born on April 17, 1965, in Lockport, New York, to William and Mary Ann Simmons.

Terry grew up with a strong sense of family that remained the center of his life. He shared a lifelong bond with his brother, Mark Simmons of Phoenix, Arizona. From an early age, Terry carried with him the values of dedication, kindness, and loyalty that would define the man he became.

Terry earned his medical degree from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland, and completed his family practice residency at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, providing care to military members and their families at Mannheim Health Clinic in Germany and later at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

Following his military service, Terry continued his commitment to caring for others at Family Medical Group at Providence Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas. For more than 20 years, he served his patients with compassion, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to their well-being.

Yet above all his accomplishments, the pride and joy of Terry’s life was his family. He was a family man in the truest sense—devoted, steady, and deeply loving.

Terry shared a wonderful life with his beloved spouse, Stacy Simmons, in Parkville, Missouri. Together, they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering support for their children, Cole Simmons, age 23, and Carson Simmons, age 21, who were the light of their lives. Whether cheering them on, offering guidance, or simply spending time together, Terry’s greatest happiness came from being present with his family.

He will be remembered for his generous spirit, his dedication to those he served, and his deep love for the people closest to him. His legacy lives on through the family he cherished and the many lives he touched.

A private interment ceremony will be held at Leavenworth National Cemetery. A celebration of Terry’s life is planned for May, with details to be shared with family and friends.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, colleagues, and the many patients whose lives he improved through his care and kindness.
