Christina Turville, 57, of Ulysses, KS passed away April 7th, 2026 at Villa St. Francis in Olathe, KS. A private memorial for her family and loved ones will be held at a later date.
Christina was born May 7th, 1968 to Susan and Leroy Patridge in Shreveport, LA and grew up in Las Vegas, NV. She is preceded in death by her beloved mother and her younger brother, Joseph.
Upon suffering the tragic loss of her mother at 11 years old, Christina became the primary caretaker for herself and her brother. After graduating high school, she joined the Navy and attended Naval Hospital Corps School (NHCS) Great Lakes, where she was ranked 8th in her class and still found time to wipe the billiards table with her friends and classmates on the weekends. She went on to live all across the country, preferring big skies and small towns that offered plenty of room for animals and grand dreams.
Christina had four children who were her greatest pride and joy, and she always made sure that they knew how deeply they were loved. She also loved animals, training horses and raising mini Aussies throughout her life, and had many special four-legged companions over the years. In keeping with her generous and adventurous spirit, Christina spent many years working as a CNA and eventually took on a new career as a long-haul truck driver. She loved being on the road because of the wide-open horizons—and through truck driving, met her best friend and loving partner of the last 10 years, Michael.
Christina had a wry wit, a mischievous smile, and a fun, irreverent sense of humor. She was an avid reader and loved cooking, often speaking fondly of the special meals her mom used to make and of her own memories of baking Christmas cookies with her kids. She was creative and loved crafts, making intricate beaded jewelry and beautiful scrapbooks for family and friends. She was an incredibly hard worker with a tenacious spirit. Christina loved fiercely. She was perceptive, quick to make new friends, and open with her heart.
Christina is survived by her four loving children and their partners, Jonathan (Nicole), Alex (Bobbie Jo), Sam (Mariyah), and Jessalynne; her beautiful granddaughter Kara; and her own devoted partner of 10 years, Michael. They will all miss Christina dearly.
Christina’s family wishes to thank the many incredible people who provided her medical care in the last seven weeks of her life—particularly the deeply caring and committed staff at Villa St. Francis and Catholic Community Hospice, who made sure she was comfortable and closely cared for in her final days. Their generosity is truly unmatched and the family is endlessly grateful for all their support.
In honor of Christina, please consider making a donation to Return to Freedom Wild Horse Conservation or the funds for hospice care and Villa St. Francis at CatholicCommunityHealth.org.
