William George "Bill" Bell, Age: 75

Mar 06, 1951 - Apr 01, 2026

William George “Bill” Bell passed away surrounded by the love of his family, leaving behind a legacy of service, dedication, and deep devotion to those he held closest.

Bill was born on March 6th, 1951. Raised in Michigan and graduated from Walled Lake High School in 1969. Shortly after, he answered the call to serve his country, embarking on a distinguished career in the United States Army. Over the course of 23 and a half years, Bill served with honor and pride, ultimately retiring with full military honors. His service reflected his strength of character, discipline, and unwavering commitment.

Beyond his military career, Bill was a man who found his greatest joy in his family and in the simple pleasures of life. He had a passion for riding motorcycles, embracing the freedom of the open road. He also enjoyed tinkering with cars and cheering on the Detroit Lions. But nothing meant more to him than the time he spent with those he loved.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Patsy Bell; his children, Marcie Caughey and William Alexander Bell II (wife Nikki); and his stepson, Joseph Burris. He was a proud grandfather to Adeya Anderson, Elijah Burris, Brent Caughey, Kathryn Caughey, Harper Cobb, William Bell III, and Kai Bell.

He is also survived by his mother, Dorothy Bell, and his sister, Bonnie LaGassa.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, William Bell.

Bill will be remembered for his strength, his loyalty, and the love he gave so freely to his family. His legacy will live on in the lives of those he touched, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A small, intimate military honors service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15th at Lake Jacomo Shelter #1 in Blue Springs, MO. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
