It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kimberly Sue Madrigal, who departed this life on April 23, 2026.

Kimberly Sue Madrigal, 60, of Mission, Kansas, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026. She was beloved to her family and a cherished member of her community at Central Methodist Church, Kansas City, Kansas.

Born on June 16, 1965 to Ted and Norma Blankenship in Chillicothe, Missouri, Kimberly grew up with a flare for playing church organ and flute. Throughout her life, she touched the hearts of many with her desire to improve the lives of homeless people.

Kimberly Sue Madrigal, 60, of Mission, Kansas, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026. She was beloved by her family and a cherished member of her community at Central United Methodist Church in Kansas City, Kansas.

Born on June 16, 1965, to Ted and Norma Blankenship in Chillicothe, Missouri, Kimberly grew up with a flair for playing the church organ and flute. Throughout her life, she touched the hearts of many with her commitment to improving the lives of those experiencing homelessness.

Professionally, Kimberly spent her career in the insurance industry. Outside of her career, she found great joy in helping with her church's clothing and meal ministry.

Kimberly is survived by her loving family, including her father, Ted Blankenship; and her brother, Tim Blankenship. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Madrigal, and her mother, Norma Blankenship.

A celebration of Kimberly’s life will be determined for a future date.

She will be profoundly missed, but her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
