Mary Donna Howland, age 91, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away peacefully in her sleep at St Lukes Hospice House following a battle with infection.

Mary was born on August 14, 1934, in Independence, Missouri, to Eleanor and Tinsley Stump. She remained deeply connected to her roots throughout her life and was an active member of her church community in Blue Springs.

She was known for her vibrant spirit, her easy smile, and her love of laughter. Mary was also a fiercely competitive card player who cherished time spent with family and friends around the table.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gene Howland. She is survived by her five children: Richard Rice, Donna Driskill, John Rice, Dana Norman, and Sam Rice; as well as her sister, Beverly Joyce Bragaw.
