James Robert Noland, 78, of Smithville, Mo passed away peacefully at his home on July 15th surrounded by loved ones. 

He was born in Smithville, Mo on April 30, 1948 to Westley Noland and Martha Rule of Smithville. 

James "Jim"  retired from Clowers Car Care in Smithville where he worked over 30 years in auto body repair.  Jim was so loved and respected by all those blessed to have gotten to spend time with him. He is known by family and friends for his quick wit and ornery side. He was a strong stoic man who loved his children and grandchildren. Always willing to give you the shirt off his back. His presence will be greatly missed. 

He is survived by his daughters Traci Ray and Christi Sweatman of Smithville and son Nathan Noland of Smithville. One granddaughter, five grandsons and one great grandson all of the Kansas City area who loved "Papa" dearly. 

In lieu of visitation a Celebration of Jim's life is being planned and will be announced in the near future.
