Robert "Bob" Strickland, 86, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of friendships, laughter, and community.

Bob grew up in Clinton, MO and, later in life, became affectionately known as "Bitch'n Bob." While the nickname often came from a place of resolve and "Bob's way of doing things", those who knew him best understood it reflected his hard-working spirit and unique charm. He had a personality that drew people in and left a lasting impression wherever he went.  He never walked out of restaurant or church gathering without shaking someone's hand and saying, "I'm sure glad you got to see me." 

After owning and operating his vending company for more than 30 years, Bob enjoyed retirement in his own way. For the past three decades, he made his home on a beautiful 10-acre property in Grandview, MO that he dearly loved. More importantly, he cultivated friendships that became family through the many communities that shaped his life. Whether playing cards with his church friends, visiting with neighbors, gathering each day for lunch with friends at TJ's, or working part-time at the local bowling alley for over 20 years, Bob treasured the people in each of these places. He had a remarkable way of making friends wherever he went.

Above all, Bob loved his family. He is survived by his sons, Lance and his wife, Michelle, and Shad, along with his beloved grandchildren, Abram, Avery, Anderson, and Zane. His greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved most.

Bob will be remembered for his quick wit, his loyal friendships, his unmistakable personality, and the countless lives he touched simply by showing up, sharing a meal, playing a hand of cards, or striking up a conversation. He will be deeply missed by his family and by the many friends who were fortunate to know him.
