Harriett Patricia "Patsy" Gibson, age 79, passed away on July 30, 2026, in Lenexa, Kansas.
Patsy was born on March 18, 1947, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Harvey and Myrtle Graham. She graduated from Frayser High School in 1965. Her career led her to Bryce Corporation, where she worked for many years until her retirement in 2015. During her time there, she formed many lifelong friendships.
Patsy had an incredible passion for gardening, especially her vegetable garden, which was known for producing the most amazing tomatoes. She had a laugh that could light up a room and found immense joy in preparing delicious meals for family and friends.
Patsy will be remembered for her warm heart, generous spirit, and unwavering love for her family. Whether she was tending her garden, sharing a home-cooked meal, or making everyone around her laugh, she had a special way of making everyone feel welcome, loved, and at home. Her kindness, sense of humor, and love for her family will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Melvin Gibson; her parents, Harvey and Myrtle Graham; her siblings, Rubye Pesce, Kenneth Graham, and Vernon Graham; and her grandson, Joseph Douglass Dyer.
She is survived by her children, Sandra Lynn Kellogg (John) and Donald Lee Dyer (Rochelle); her grandchildren, Bryan Arthur Kelsey, Julian Daniel Dyer, Nathan Graham Dyer, Allison Elizabeth Dyer, and Ashley Michelle Schmidt (Caleb); and seven great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Patsy's life will be held at a later date.
