Barbara Lambert passed away peacefully Monday, August 3, 2026. She had spent the day with her daughter Leslie and granddaughter Jordan and was at peace with a life well lived.

Barbara will be remembered most as a world traveler, a fierce and fun friend, a loving mother, and a wonderful artist and painter.

Barbara was born in Akron, NY and lived in the following places: Boston, MA; Coral Gables, Marco Island, and St. Pete, FL; Seattle, WA; Raleigh and Pittsboro, NC; and Kansas City, MO. Barbara graduated from Stephens College in Columbia, MO and worked as a travel agent for more than 30 years.

Her many travels took her to some of the world’s most memorable places from kissing the Blarney Stone in Ireland, traveling down the Yangtze River in China, trekking the desert on camels with the Blue Men of Morrocco, to the rain forests of the Amazon just to name a few. 

Barbara was a beautiful person from the inside out and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. We love you, Mom!

Barbara is survived by her sisters Marge Kramich and Mary Mullaney, her daughters Leslie Johns and Susan Hall, her stepchildren Kim and Brent Lambert, her 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandson, and her first husband Roger Everingham. 

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Ella Cummings and her loving husband of 38 years, Clark Lambert.
