In Loving Memory of Quinn Watson Grose

Quinn Watson Grose passed away peacefully at home on September 2, 2026, at the age of 77.

Quinn was born on October 30, 1948, in Meshoppen, Pennsylvania. While the places he lived and the years he spent with us were important, it was the way Quinn lived and the way he treated others that truly defined him.

Quinn was a genuinely kind and giving person with a heart that was always open to others. He cared deeply about people and had a wonderful ability to connect with just about anyone he met. He made people feel comfortable, welcomed, and seen. His generosity was not something he sought recognition for; it was simply part of who he was. Through his volunteerism, his friendships, and the countless ways he showed up for others, Quinn quietly made the world around him a little better.

He had a wonderful laugh, a positive spirit, and warmth that will be remembered by everyone. Quinn was someone whose presence made a difference. He brought kindness into conversations, sincerity into friendships, and love into the lives of his family.

Quinn was an avid reader who enjoyed the simple pleasure of getting lost in a good book. He loved watching sports, spending time with family, and sharing life's everyday moments with the people he loved. He was a friend of Bill's for the past 31 years, and that journey reflected his strength, courage, and commitment to helping and supporting others.

Quinn is survived by his beloved wife of 18 years, Kathi Grose of Lee's Summit, Missouri; his son, Aaron Grose of Kansas City, Missouri; his two stepdaughters, Joell (Shane) Brewer of Panama City Beach, Florida, and Yvonne (Michael) Patterson of Lee's Summit, Missouri; his daughter, Stacey (Shawn) Manning of Independence, Missouri; his two sisters, Carol Trask and Gail Angus, both of Jacksonville, Florida; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Quinn's memory in a way he would have appreciated: perform an act of kindness, lend a helping hand, or make a donation to an organization that would benefit from your generosity and thoughtfulness. There is no better tribute to Quinn than to continue sharing the kindness and compassion that he so freely gave to others.

Though our hearts are heavy with the loss of Quinn, we are incredibly grateful for the time we had with him. Quinn was deeply loved. He will be profoundly missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by all.
