Thomas Patrick Bundy passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family, on September 13, 2026, in Overland Park, Kansas, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Tom was a 1970 graduate of Center High School in Kansas City, Missouri, and a proud Vietnam Veteran, having served in the United State Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVN-65).

Tom was incredibly active in Scouting BSA through the Heart of America Council, after joining Scouting with his sons in the 1990s. As a Vigil Honor member with the Order of the Arrow, and an Honorary Warrior with the Tribe of Mic-O-Say, Tom lived the values of Scouting in his daily life. He volunteered countless hours at his beloved Theordore Naish Scout Reservation in Bonner Springs, Kansas, where he could often be found handing out his hand-carved wooden arrowheads to his fellow Arrowmen.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Bundy, his sister, Karen Cox, and his brother, Jerry Bundy.

Tom is survived by his mother, Gladys; his siblings Mike, Kathy, Nancy, Mary Pat, Mark, Sharon, and Kevin; the love of his life, Suzy; their children Trevor (and Betsy) and Seth (and Gena); his grandchildren Jack, Owen, Eleanor, and Oliver; and a loving extended family of nieces, nephews, and their children.

In lieu of flowers, the family humbly requests that Tom’s legacy of carving arrowheads for Scouts be honored by a donation to the Kaw Valley Carving Club, 911 Martin Way, Jefferson City, MO 65109.
