Michial Joseph Coffman, born June 12, 1949, in Miller County, Missouri, passed away on September 12, 2026, in Kansas City, Kansas.

To some, he was simply Michial. To others, he was known as “Roadkill” or “The Roadkill Chef.” Whatever name you knew him by, Michial was truly one of a kind. He had a personality that left an impression, and he leaves behind countless stories, memories, and moments that will be cherished by those who knew and loved him.

Michial was a hardworking and skilled carpenter who took pride in his work. He loved working with his hands and had a talent for building and creating things that would last.

When he wasn't working, Michial could often be found doing the things he loved most—fishing, hunting, and cooking. He enjoyed being outdoors and had a special way of turning his love of hunting and cooking into something memorable, earning him the fitting nickname “The Roadkill Chef.”

Michial will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. His memory will live on in the stories we tell, the meals we remember, the adventures we shared, and the laughter that will always remind us of him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 24, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Douglas County Fairgrounds, Building 21.

This will be a casual, come-and-go celebration of Michial’s life and memories. Family and friends are invited to stop by, share stories, reminisce, and celebrate the life of a man who was truly one of a kind and who will be deeply missed.
